Capitol Hill Stay is a small local business, owned and operated by Capitol Hill residents. When you contact us you deal directly with the owners.

What We Do

Capitol Hill Stay is an extended stay housing provider specializing in charming, fully furnished apartments for short or long term stays on close-in historic Capitol Hill primarily. Capitol Hill Stay provides lodging for the Washington, DC, area only (primarily Capitol Hill). We do not provide lodging outside the Washington, DC, area.

Where We Are

Capitol Hill Stay apartments are located 1 to 5 blocks from the US Capitol. This is a highly sought-after location. It is a ten minute walk to 2 metros, numerous restaurants, shops, and amenities.

The US Capitol Police patrol this area of Capitol Hill closest to the Capitol, making it unusually safe. Capitol Hill Stay has been in business for six years, and we've never had a single crime incident involving one of our apartments.

Capitol Hill is a huge neighborhood, made up of many smaller neighborhoods. Generally speaking, the 'close-in' area closest to the Capitol (where all Capitol Hill Stay properties are) is the most sought-after.

Our Properties

Capitol Hill Stay has approximately 25 apartments, all recently renovated with modern kitchens and baths, many with upscale amenities like granite counters and marble floors. They range from studios to large 2 bedroom apartments. They are in historic buildings, chosen specifically for location and charm. Each is fully furnished, using high quality furnishings, antiques, etc. Each is all inclusive, including utilities, high speed internet, DirecTV or cable television (all CHS apartments are now receiving new flat screen HDTV televisions with digital packages)

Why Choose Us?

We provide an excellent service at a reasonable price (often thousands a month less than national corporate housing providers charge). We are a locally owned small business. We do this professionally, as a full time job.

We chose this location because of the quality of the neighborhood, it's amenities, and the overall safety factor. You can find cheaper lodging in other neighborhoods or even in other parts of Capitol Hill (further from the Capitol), but the old adage that 'you get what you pay for' is very true in Washington, DC.

Rates above are based on an anticipated stay of six months or longer.
Stay of 1 month to six months
10% or more off the established GSA per diem rate. These rates include all utilities, furnishings, full kitchen facilities, high speed internet, and HD television with full premium packages. There are no additional costs to the tenant, GSA, or agencies. Price escalation is limited to and governed by any GSA per diem structure and rates established for Washington, D.C.

Capitol Hill Stay will accept the Foreign Service clause which allows for early termination of leases should the government employer cancel employee stay in the Washington, DC, area. 30 day written notice must be given. In such an event, shorter term stay pricing may be applicable retroactively, at the discretion of Capitol Hill Stay.
